LST400是一款可测量液体和固体物位的超声波物位变送器，其最大量程为50 ft./15m，也可应用于明渠流量测量。它拥有单通道4-20 mADC模拟输出和HART 7数字通讯，以及5个继电器输出。点阵LCD显示，集成分析软件，泵循环及监控，远程计数输出，增益和功率可自动变化，适用于各种应用环境。
该产品原理是变送器的微处理器发射电子脉冲给超声波传感器，同时启动记时器。传感器将该电脉冲转成一个声脉冲，向被测介质的表面发射。当声脉冲传播到介质表面后能量被反射回传感器，传感器将此能量还原成为电脉冲。再将该脉冲返回至微处理器，微处理器停止计时器，同时得到声波信号自发射到返回的时间。根据脉冲运行时间间隔和空气中声音的传播速度，微处理器能精确地计算出介质的物位。先进的的软件可排除虚假回波，同时电子滤波器可排除环境噪声。

The principle of this product is that the microprocessor of the transmitter sends electronic pulses to the ultrasonic sensor and starts the timer at the same time. The sensor converts the electric pulse into an acoustic pulse and emits it to the surface of the measured medium. When the acoustic pulse propagates to the surface of the medium, the energy is reflected back to the sensor, and the sensor restores this energy into an electrical pulse. Then the pulse is returned to the microprocessor, which stops the timer and obtains the time from the transmission of the acoustic signal to the return. According to the time interval of pulse operation and the propagation speed of sound in the air, the microprocessor can accurately calculate the material level of the medium.
