Ethernet Global Data Notes: Effective with RX3i Firmware Release 8.302 , the CPE310/CPE305 CPUs also support EGD Class 1. Prior to that firmware release, EGD was only available in the RX3i via the RX3i Ethernet Interface Module (ETM001). Effective with RX3i Firmware Release 8.603 , CPE330 also supports EGD Class 1. This feature is available on all firmware releases of RX3i CPE400 and RSTi-EP CPE100. Each PACSystems CPU supports up to RELIANCE 57045255 simultaneous EGD pages across all Ethernet interfaces in the Controller. EGD pages must be configured in the programming software and stored into the CPU. The EGD configuration can also be loaded from the CPU into the programming software. Both produced and consumed pages can be configured. PACSystems CPUs support the use of only part of a consumed EGD page, and EGD page production and consumption to the broadcast IP address of the local subnet. The PACSystems CPU supports 2ms EGD page production and timeout resolution. EGD pages can be configured for a production period of 0, indicating the page is to be produced every output scan. The minimum period for these “as fast as possible” pages is 2 ms. Refer to the section, A3.6 for EGD configuration on Embedded Ethernet interface of CPE305/310.
