The purpose for the delay is to allow you the option of stopping the boot by use of the Break key. If you are using NVRAM space for your own program information or commands, change the default pointer value to the value necessary to clear your data.If you use the NIOT debugger command, the network interface configuration parameters need to be saved/retained in the NVRAM (Non-Volatile RAM), also known as Battery Backed up RAM (BBRAM), somewhere in the address range $FFFC0000 through $FFFC0FFF. The NIOT parameters do not exceed 128 bytes in size. The location for these parameters is determined by a setting of the ENV (Set Environment to Bug/Operating System) debugger command.
