The two Ethernet ports are 10-BASE-T/100-BASE-Tx Autonegotiating Full-Duplex ports, which provide direct connection to one or two 10-BASE-T/100-BASE-TX cat 5 (twisted pair) Ethernet LAN cables. Cables may be shielded or unshielded, and direct or cross-over. Please note that the ports are connected to an embedded switch. There is not a separateNI PXI-2546 IP address for each port. The LINK/ACT LED on each port goes on when a network link is established and blinks when data is being transferred through the port. The 100Mbps LED goes on if the network link has been established at 100 MBPS and goes off if the network link has been established at 10Mbps. Shield Ground Connection Tab This tab is used to make the module’s shield ground connection. A wire with the applicable terminal ends is supplied with the module for this purpose.
