Board Malfunction Switches marked as reserved might carry production-related functions and can cause the board to malfunction if their setting is changed. Do not change settings of switches marked as reserved. The setting of switches which are not marked as reserved has to be checked and changed before board installation. Installation Data Loss Powering down or removing a board before the operating system or other software running on the board has been properly shut down may cause corruption of data or file systems. Make sure all software is completely shut down before removing power from the board or removing the board from the chassis. Product Damage Only use injector handles for board insertion to avoid damage to the front panel and/or PCB. Deformation of the front panel can cause an electrical short or other board malfunction. Product Damage Inserting or removing modules with power applied may result in damage to module components. Before installing or removing additional devices or modules, read the documentation that came with the product
