Conversion Guide Preparing for Conversion After technically converting the system to, you must migrate the customized settings related to migration, as well as GL asset accounting control and material ledger data, to the new data structure. Please refer to the Notes for more information on financial accounting conversion. Note: We recommend that you first convert to in the development or test system so that you can access custom steps related to accounting. When you make the final transition to the production system, you can collect any changes in the transfer request and hand them over to the tool.

The use of business processes has been changed and simplified. Before converting to, you need to check the custom code according to the simplification in the system. These simplifications are loaded into the custom code migration tool. After running the tool, you will get a list of instances where the custom code does not conform to the scope and data structure. Note: The custom code check has not identified all instances where the custom code does not conform. For a complete overview of changes that may affect custom code, see the Simplification Project Record described in Overview of the Conversion Process [page]. We strongly recommend that you perform these checks before starting the conversion process because this step is the most important preparation for custom code in the process.
