Software connection between two parameters. This allows one parameter to receive information from another. Each target parameter can only have one source parameter. However, source parameters can be linked to multiple target parameters. The information in the link always flows from the source to the target parameter. Several default links in the drive are set as default links. You can modify these links in two ways: use HIM to access the target parameters to use for the link. (This cannot be done from the ALT parameter view window, but only from the parameter list.). To access the parameter you want to edit, press ALT, and then press the View button. This will display a window with a mode selection. Use the up/down arrows on the top row of the button to select Defined Links, and then press Enter. In this mode, pressing the select button will allow you to enter the source parameter number.
