Current limit parameters
The open-loop IT function and motor current limit parameters are routed to the minimum selection, and the algebraic minimum value entered is used as the current limit. In addition, the closed-loop IT function can limit the current output of the driver. The closed-loop IT function is compared with the torque current reference, and the algebraic minimum is used for the torque current reference. For a description of open loop and closed loop IT functions, see the Drive Overload section on page 48. Data LinkThe data link is used to transfer I/O data from a communication adapter, such as ControlNet (20COMMC) or DeviceNet (20COMMD), to the controller. Data links allow you to change parameter values without using messaging. This section contains information about configuring data link parameters for the PowerFlex 700S. There are also some parameters in the communication adapter that must be configured to use Datalinks. For more information, see ControlNet (20COMMC) on page 26 and DeviceNet (20COMMD) on page 36.
The parameter is the input of the controller to the driver
Used to write parameters. A total of 8 parameters can be written to the "Data Input" parameter. In 700S, each parameter is a 16 bit integer, a 32-bit integer, or a 32-bit floating point (real number). This means that the data link parameter is 32 bits. To write a 16 bit or 32-bit integer parameter, the parameter must be linked to one of the [Data In x Int] parameters. To write a real parameter, the parameter must be linked to one of the [Data In x real] parameters.
