All available Windows Embedded Standard 2009 operating system updates have been applied since September 2009. For computers using Windows XP, the I386 source directory of Microsoft Windows is located on the system drive of the computer, not the root directory C: I386. This allows easy removal and addition of Windows components. Computers with rotating hard disk drives include a recovery partition on the system drive that contains the original factory image. You can restore the operating system from the recovery partition and create a new recovery image using the provided computer system clone CD. For instructions, refer to Clone Utility Technical Data Publication 6000TD002. Computers using Windows Embedded Standard 2009 include a utility for configuring Enhanced Write Filter (EWF) and Hibernate Once, Many Restore (HORM) features.
