Post Configuration Installation
Or after removing the hardware components, perform the following steps. 1. Make sure all components are installed according to the instructions. 2. Make sure there are no tools or loose parts in the computer. 3. Reinstall all expansion boards, peripherals, and system cables that you removed previously. 4. Reinstall the cover as described on page 26. 5. Reconnect all external cables and power supplies to the computer. 6. Press the power switch to start the computer. Parts replacement tools Parts replacement requires the following tools: • No. 2 crosshead screwdriver • Anti static wrist strap • Side cutter (if necessary, it is used to cut cable ties) Important When installing hardware or performing maintenance procedures that require access to internal parts, we recommend that you first back up all computer data to avoid loss. Note: Before you start configuring your computer hardware, be sure to read and understand all the installation and removal procedures.
Remove the cover and install it
To replace or upgrade internal computer components, you must first remove the cover. Follow the steps below to remove the back cover (the display computer is shown). 1. Follow the pre configuration steps on page 24. 2. Loosen the three screws that fix the back cover (A). 3. Open the cover (B) and remove it from the chassis (C). 4. After installing, replacing, or upgrading the internal computer components, reinstall the cover as detailed in "Re installing the cover" on page 26.
