Before installing or removing components
Please disconnect all power from the computer. Electrostatic discharge precautions Observe the following precautions: • Transport the computer and replacement parts in electrostatic safe containers, such as conductive tubes, bags, or boxes. • Store static sensitive parts in containers until they reach the designated static free work area. • Cover the designated work area with an approved anti-static material: – Use an anti-static wrist strap connected to the work surface. – Use properly grounded tools and equipment to keep the designated work area free of non-conductive materials, such as ordinary plastic auxiliary assembly tools and foam packaging. • Avoid touching pins, leads or circuits. • Always hold the edge of the component with the printed circuit board (PCB) and place the component face down.
Electric shock hazard:
Before removing components, disconnect all power from the computer. Failure to disconnect the power supply may cause serious personal electric shock or electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage to the computer and components. Note: Electrostatic discharge (ESD) may damage electrostatic sensitive devices or microcircuits. • Disconnect all power supplies before operating the computer as detailed in "Voltage Precautions" on page 23. • Observe correct packaging and grounding techniques to prevent damage. 24 Industrial Computer Automation Publication 6181X-IN001D-EN-P-2015 for use in hazardous locations Pre configured July Please follow the steps below before removing covers or replacing hardware components. 1. Turn off the computer and all attached peripherals. 2. Disconnect all cables from the power socket to avoid exposure to high energy levels. If necessary, label each cable to speed up reassembly. 3. Disconnect the telecommunication cable to avoid the risk of electric shock exposed to the ring voltage.
