Briefly describes the setup options in the system BIOS. Due to the customized features of the single board computer of the GE Fanuc embedded system, your BIOS options may be different from those discussed in this appendix. AMI calls its BIOS setup screen ezPORT. For a complete description of all the options available for the AMI BIOS, visit www.AMI Com and download its ezPORT PDF file. The options listed on the AMI website may not be available on your system. To access the first boot setup screen, press the F11 key at the start of boot. To access the ezPORT settings screen, press DEL at the start of startup. B 80 B Product Manual First Startup VMIVME-8807/VME-7807RC has a first startup menu, and users can select the drive device to be started at one time. This feature is useful when installing from a bootable disk. For example, when installing Windows XP from the CD, go to the first boot menu and use the arrow keys to highlight the ATAPI CD-ROM drive. Press ENTER to continue the system boot. Press F11 at the beginning of the start cycle to access this function. The selection made from this screen is only applicable to the current boot and will not be used during the next boot of the system. If you cannot access this feature, disable the quick boot mode in the boot BIOS settings screen. Exit, save your changes and retry accessing the First Boot menu. The left box shows all the configurable options. The Gray option cannot be configured. The blue option can be configured. The right frame shows the key legend. When an option is selected in the left box, it will be highlighted in white, and the text message in the right box will briefly describe the option. The main menu reports the BIOS version, processor type, and clock speed, and allows information displayed on the screen

You can select an item in the left box of the screen, such as SuperIO configuration, to go to the submenu of the item. You can use the key to highlight the Advanced BIOS Setup option.
