To define the consumer of the selected variable, click the v column opposite the intended consumer device in the Consumer list. 3. Configuration 3-21 in Chapter 3 of GFK-1038A defines the MPS exchange of the remote I/O rack. For each remote I/O rack, define the following information exchange counterparts of the remote I/O rack. By default, each counterpart on the remote I/O rack consumes all TVA generated by the rack I/O module. When you add a new correspondent, the default values are applied. You can eliminate unnecessary swaps at the I/O module level. The rightmost pane of the Exchange Path tab lists its correspondents and devices that are not currently configured as correspondents but can be correspondents. To add a correspondent, select a potential device in the list, and then click Add. To delete a device, select it in the list of correspondents, and then click Delete. Note: Deleting a correspondent will delete all previously defined exchanges between the device and the correspondent.
Configuring Output Modules in Remote Racks
Switch To configure the switch for input modules in the remote I/O rack: 1. Click the Output Modules tab. The Output Modules tab lists the configured output modules and their equivalents. After selecting a module, the communicator list displays the devices that may generate TVA for the module. The symbol in the Priv column shows which device is the privileged correspondent for all output modules in the selected remote I/O rack. The symbol in column v indicates which correspondent is the producer. After selecting the corresponding item, the module list displays the output module for which the device generates TVA. The module list shows the position of the module in the I/O rack, the part number of the module, the description of the module, and the transmission time slot related to the module. Column v indicates which device generates TVA for the module. 2. In the module list, click the slot for the module. A. To specify the data producer of the output module, in the Correspondent list, click column v opposite the producer device name, or specify Privileged Correspondent in the Privacy column. B. To modify the transmission timeslot of the TVA of the output module, click the TVA button of the module. The Output Module: dialog box appears – click the name of the TVA. – In the Selected Time Slot area, select the name of the desired time slot. Click Apply. The TVA list will be updated. Click Close.
