    "Hot annealing"

    It was cut from No. 2 boulder of No. 2 Station of the landslide in the south block (Fig. 1). It was sampled from the matrix (see transcript in section 72335). On the surface, astronauts can see the halo protruding around the micro crater (Fig. 2). The age of the year is 3.9 b.y., which is considered to be the age of the Serenitatis impact. Petrology Dymek et al. (1976) described the structure of and analyzed its minerals and found similar adjacent samples. About 80% is crystalline matrix (100 microns) and 10% is interstitial space. The foundation of the rock consists of an interlocking network of small pyroxene crystals, which contains a large number of plagioclase hypercrystals. Randomly dispersed ilmenite particles with sieve structure surround plagioclase and pyroxene (Figures 4 and 5). The reaction edge around the opaque phase can be seen in Fig. 5. Figure 6 shows a large hole filled with crystals. In the group, Dymek et al Mineralogy Olivine: Olivine particles are closely grouped at Fo70 ± 2. Olivine does not form well-developed oil crystals like pyroxene, but irregular shaped particles are formed between pyroxene and plagioclase. Pink spinel: The center of the pink spinel particles is rich in magnesium and aluminum, and the edge is rich in chromium. Pyroxene: The composition of pyroxene is shown in Figure 7. Low calcium pyroxene is more than high calcium pyroxene. Some pyroxenes contain rounded olivine grains. Plagioclase: Plagioclase of years old usually has undulating extinction, sometimes pinnate (Monteggian opacity). Peridot "necklaces" grow on the edges of large particles. The composition of plagioclase ranges from Or0.2Ab2 An98 to about Or3 Ab22An75 (Dymek et al., 1976). Ilmenite: the ilmenite in is uniformly dispersed in the matrix, with sieve structure and rich in magnesium. It consists of rutile and thiospinel flakes, as well as round zeolite inclusions. Metallic iron: Metallic iron originates from meteorites (see Figure 8). Bauxite: Zirconium rich bauxite is contained in ilmenite. Bainite: Dymek et al. (1976) reported a small amount of bainite at the edge of some ilmenites. Apatite: Hutcheon et al. (1974) found that the fission track age of apatite in has been reduced by "thermal annealing".
