Description of control switch Reset When pressed
The reset switch returns the panel to normal standby operation. The reset switch also has an integrated LED. When lit, the LED indicates that the panel is resetting. When flashing, the LED indicates that the reset switch is disabled. Note: Before the panel is reset, the cause of any abnormality must be determined and returned to normal. Field specific programming may prevent operation of this switch for 1 or 3 minutes after receiving the first alarm. Reset Disable (select one) When the local mute is pressed, the local mute switch mutes the panel buzzer. The local mute switch also has an integrated LED. When lit, the LED indicates that the panel is in local mute mode. Note: Once a new alarm, fault or monitoring condition is received, the controller will exit the local mute mode and sound the panel buzzer. Table 2 of 11 Operation Manual for EST2 System of the operation panel equipment: control switch control switch indicates that when the alarm mute is pressed, the alarm mute switch will turn off all audio or video defined in 2-SDU. The alarm mute switch also has an integrated LED. When lit, the LED indicates that the notification device is turned off. When flashing, the LED indicates that the alarm mute switch is disabled. Mute Inhibit (check one item) Drilling When the drilling switch is pressed, all auditory or visual functions defined in 2-SDU are activated. The drill switch also has an integrated LED. When lit, the LED indicates that the drilling mode is on. User defined field specific programming options. This switch will activate: Input Rule Label: A user-defined switch allows the operator to activate the operation by pressing. The programmer determines the function of the user-defined switch and inputs it to the 2-SDU. For more information on programming user-defined switches, refer to 2-SDU Help.

Response to abnormal conditions
The 2-LCD will sound the internal buzzer and display a message indicating that the system has a problem. You must press the local mute switch to view messages other than those displayed under abnormal conditions. After pressing "Local Mute", you can view any message in any order by pressing the message view switch. Fire alarm smoke detector, heat detector, fire alarm station and sprinkler system can start fire alarm. When the alarm LED lights up, it indicates a fire alarm. Response to fire alarm: 1. Press the local mute switch to mute the buzzer. 2. Read the display screen to determine the location of the fire alarm conditions. 3. Press the alarm view switch to view the alarm message. The alarm view switch will display any other alarm positions. Before resetting the panel, relevant personnel must: • put out the fire • investigate the cause of the fire • reset the panel after declaring that the building is safe to re-enter the fire alarm: 1. press the alarm mute switch to mute the audible notification device. 2. Press the local mute switch to mute the buzzer. 3. Press the reset switch to return the panel to normal. If the alarm mute LED or reset LED flashes, wait until the prohibition period is over, and then press the corresponding switch again.
