Module Mechanical Keying The module contains a mechanical key
Prevents one module type from accidentally replacing another in a given slot. This key is suitable for the uniquely shaped area on the circuit board below the connector. The keys are included in each module. When installing the module for the first time, the key is locked on the central guide rail of the backplane. When the module is removed, the key remains in the central rail and the slot is configured to accept only the same module type. If you need to change the position of the module in the rack after locking the key on the central rail of the rack, you can remove the key by pushing it up and pulling it off the rail. You can then reinsert it into the module and insert the module into the desired location in the rack. Note: Only place the power supply in the leftmost rack position. The wiring of the field wiring module is shown in Figure 2. Since each group of eight output terminals is isolated from other output terminals, wiring from the power supply to each group of power input terminals is required (the power input terminals of each group are not connected inside the module). Removable field terminal blocks will accept wire sizes from # 22 (0.36 mm) to # 14 (2.10 mm). If both wires are the same size, you can terminate both wires on a given lug. There are 40 # 14 (2.10 mm2) wire bundles passing through the space of the terminal board cavity. The harness can be fixed to the terminal strip by threading the cable tie through the clamp plate at the lower corner of the terminal strip.

Removable terminal block
Recommended Field Wiring Procedures When connecting field wiring to a removable terminal block on this input module, the following procedure is recommended.
